Mac OS X – Boot CampO “you must update your system software”

I may have found a solution.

My Software and Firmware are Definitely up to date so I looked around a few forums for a solution to this. Some people were suggesting erasing the partition in Disk Utility. This I did not want to do since I would have to repartition my entire drive.

Here is what I did that worked for me:

1. Opened up Finder.
2. Searched for "Boot Camp".
3. I noticed that two different Boot Camps came up. So I checked the paths.
4. I clicked on the Utilities -> Boot Camp and...

Please let me know if this works for you or if I just got lucky.
